About Mobile Carpet Shop Pontefract
Mobile Carpet Shop Pontefract is part of Floor Coverings Local — a family-run flooring business with over three decades of experience.
We bring the shop to you
Picking a carpet in a big shed under bright lights, then hoping it looks the same at home, never made much sense to us. So we built our business around a home showroom: we visit, you choose in your own rooms.
Not having a high street shop keeps our overheads down, and that's how our prices stay lower than the high street. Our own fitters lay every carpet, and we're on hand afterwards if you need us.
Reasons Pontefract customers book us
30+ years' experience
A family business that has spent decades in the flooring trade.
Cheaper than the high street
No shop overheads, so the savings come back to you.
No-pressure advice
Free, no-obligation quotes and honest recommendations.
Floor prep included in the plan
If the subfloor is uneven we screed or ply-board it before fitting.

So happy with floor coverings local! Had all downstairs (kitchen, hall, w/c & living room) fully laminated last week. Took the fitter 2 full days, he worked so hard! Absolute pleasure to have in our home and over the moon with the results and the price! Would 100% recommend.

Brilliant service, very quick and easy from making our first enquiry to getting a quote and getting it fitted. We had a full house fitted with both carpet and laminate. Everything was explained to us clearly and no hidden charges. The day of the fitting went very smoothly. The fitters arrived as arranged and were hardworking and got the whole house done very quickly to a very high standard. I would highly recommended floor coverings local.
